We are a small, family-owned farm that has been cultivating wheat and barley each season as part of our crop rotation. For over 60 years, John and his brother Bill were the farmers of Tickton, carrying on the legacy of their father, William Henry Scott. The farm has remained in the family, with skills and knowledge passed down from William Henry Scott to his sons, Bill and John Scott, and now to James Scott.
Since 2020, James, Claire, and Lana have brought a fresh perspective to our work, introducing new ventures like our Pick-Your-Own (PYO) flowers and Pop-Up Events, which have become a beloved addition to our farm’s offerings.
While we all work together to ensure the farm's continued success, John and James Scott remain at the forefront of the heavy-duty tasks—erecting the Tipi tent, ploughing the fields, and harvesting the crops. The true essence of our farm lies in its rich history, dating back to 1938, and the hard work and dedication passed down through generations. Together, we blend time-honored traditions with innovation to create something truly special for all to enjoy.
Tickton Farm is the perfect destination for quality time with your family and pets. We warmly welcome dogs, but kindly ask that they remain on a lead for the safety and enjoyment of all our visitors. Many of our guests love to relax with a delicious coffee and cake, and don't forget to treat your furry friends to some special doggy ice cream!
We also have many visitors who enjoy strolling through the beautiful flowers, capturing the moment with selfies, and simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We love seeing you all make the most of your time here, but as a small business, we do need to charge a small fee of £5 for access to the flower areas. Your support helps us continue to offer these wonderful experiences!
